If I could only keep up......

We have been sooo extremely busy, I have not had time to post anything new and the fact I got a new camera and had no clue how to use it! This has been a great summer so far... from going to the pool a couple times a week, going to the park, cooking out with family and friends, going to Washington DC, birthdays after birthdays, and I had to have emergency surgery in the midst of it all...I am exhausted! Any how, here are only a few pics from the past couple of months... If I posted all of them, I would not be hitting the sack tonight!!

I love this pic! Addison and Houston look so much alike with her hair pulled back!!

We went to Washington DC to visit my husbands brother and new wife and we did a bit of site seeing while we were there... this is Addison on first subway ride.......

There is nothing like having a freeze pop on a hot summer day!

They love making each other laugh!

so handsome isn't he??

Addison's first "boat ride"!! She loved it! I was her age when my dad let me take off on our all by myself! We started out young!!!!

the cupcakes for my brother's bday stained both of my children (mouths and bottoms) Ha!

My little boy is getting way too big too fast!! He just looks adorable in this life jacket!!

me and my brother Zach on his graduation day and 2 days after my surgery!!

these kids are starting to play so well together, but at the same time they are not sharing, throwing, hitting, kicking, smacking each other if they don't get their way!! Don't let those sweet innocent faces fool you!! Ha!!

It's been a while....

I am not even sure where to start!

Houston had a wonderful 1st birthday!! He absolutely loved his cake, almost like he has had it before. He knew what he was doing! I just can't believe he is 1!!

Birthday boy waiting patiently for his cake!!!

On to Easter...

We had a great Easter day! Coloring eggs, playing outside, going to church, and visiting with family!

very messy, but glad we did it outside!

Best buds!

And last but not least...We are working with Addison on potty training and getting rid of her paci!!! Potty training is going well... we have had maybe 1 accident(peepee) the whole time and for the poo poo factor.. haha it scares her to death to think about poo pooing in the potty!! She askes for a diaper on when she has to poo poo... so anyone that has any suggestions feel free to share!!

The paci is another story! I am one of those moms that keep like 15 pacis in their bed because I am not getting up in the middle of the night to get them off the floor because they fell!!! So, to say the least...we are having a hard time! Last night was the first night Addison went to sleep without one! Almost 4 hours after her bedtime and screaming just about the whole time... she zonked out! We decided that she understands when we say throw things away, so we had her gather all of her pacis up and put them in a grocery bag, and throw them away!!! (I got them back out when she wasn't looking for emergencies!) So, she thinks they are all gone... and is just tormented...she asked me last night while bawling her little eyes out if we could just go to the store and buy more!!! She really understands how things work!!! haha I was dreading naptime because I knew she wouldn't take one without a paci... she found one in her bed, underneath the covers, so all is well right now!! If anyone has any tips on the subject as well, I would love to hear anything!!!

Happy Birthday Houston!

Today is my baby boy Houston's 1st birthday! I am super excited! I just really can't believe that it has already been a year! He is the most precious little peanut on the planet. He is such a momma's boy its not even funny! He loves to cuddle with me, and that is probably one of my favorite things right now! I am just so thankful to have such a happy, healthy, and beautiful baby!

Here are a few pictures throughout his first year....

Here is baby Houston in my belly shortly before his arrival!

Only hours old! His paci was bigger than his face!

This is what happens when I leave Houston alone with his daddy! They do look alike though...haha

His first Halloween as Superman, Brian would say "Super Shoudy"

He is ready for his license!!! But mommy's not!

Some of the things he is doing right now! He has been walking for about a month, he has 6 teeth and working on about 3 more!! This boy LOVES food! He loves playing with his sister Addison. They are starting to get into a rough housing stage and they both love it! He says ma ma, da da, bye bye, and nana! In the last week he has started shaking his head side to side like he is telling us "no"!! It is sooo cute! We are truly blessed to have him and I would not change one thing for the world! We love you Houston!!! Happy Birthday!

Last Thursday Brian surprised me......

Brian got Addison's ears pierced without telling me!! Shame on him! No, I really wasn't blindsided by this. We have been talking about it for months, but I didn't know that he went and actually did it. I went out for a bit and came home and my child's ears are pierced!! He said she did great, didn't even bat an eye! She is such a big girl! We thank God everyday that we have her in our lives as well!!

Good week so far.....

We have had a great week so far! This past weekend, my husband Brian took me to Nashville to see Carrie Underwood at the Grand Ole Opry! I just absolutely love her... and not to mention she is absolutely beautiful!! I could not wait to get home and see Addison and Houston! We were only gone a day and a half, and that was almost too much time away from them! Houston's birthday is next Thursday, so I am trying to get things together for his party. We are going to have it at Fountain City Park, so hopefully it will be a pretty day outside! Some sad news, my best friend Leslie's grandmother passed away. Please keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers. Rachel has been at my house pretty much since Brian and I got back from Nashville on Sunday! I absolutely love it when she comes over. The kids LOVE her, and it totally gives me a break to do laundry, dishes, sweep, vacuum, or even take a short nap!! We love you Rachel!! And last but not least, today is my daddy's birthday, so Happy Birthday Daddy!!

My two beautiful babies loving on eachother!

We had a great day at the park as well... the weather was wonderful!

Houston's new favorite place...... the park!!!!

Carrie Underwood!! Love her!!!

New Blogger

Ok, so Frances asked me if I had started a blog yet, and of course I said no! So, while the kiddos were sleeping this afternoon I thought I would see what it is all about. I really have no clue what I am doing on here, so I am sure it will take me a while to figure everything out! So, hopefully everyone will be patient!! :) I really know nothing about computers , so it will be a challenge for me!
Let the challenge begin......
And I am super excited that in the morning, me and my hubby are take a very short anniversary roadtrip to Nashville to see Carrie Underwood at the Grand Ole Opry!! We are staying overnight at my Aunt Sandy's house there in Nashville, where we will not have to pay for room and board!! Thank you sooo much Aunt Sandy! Rachel will be watching our kiddos while we are gone! It really makes me sad to leave them, but this day and a half away from everything is very much needed! So, thank you Rachel for always being there when I need you most!!
